Louis Abrahamson

From the jewellery trade to creating something more personal.

I've spent over eight years working within my family's wholesale jewellery business, sourcing diamonds and coloured gemstones, building relationships with trusted manufacturers and learning the jewellery industry from the inside.

During that time, I saw how jewellery often became transactional. Beautiful pieces were sitting in display cabinets, clients were choosing from limited collections and many were paying significant retail mark-ups without ever understanding what they were buying.

That's why I founded LA The Jeweller.

I wanted to create a more personal experience, giving clients direct access to the same trusted supply network, expert guidance and beautifully crafted jewellery designed around them, not simply what's available on the shelf.

Today, I personally guide every project from the very first conversation through to the finished piece, helping clients create jewellery that's completely personal and designed to last a lifetime.

Built On Experience

A career built inside the jewellery industry.

Before launching LA The Jeweller, I spent years working within one of the UK's established wholesale jewellery businesses, supplying the jewellery trade itself.

My clients weren't private customers — they were retail jewellers, diamond and gemstone dealers, manufacturers and working jewellers. Day to day, I sourced and sold loose stones and finished jewellery, matched gemstone layouts, assessed quality and worked alongside the people responsible for making and selling jewellery across the industry.

It gave me an understanding of jewellery from the trade side — how stones are sourced, how pieces are manufactured, what affects quality and, importantly, where the real value lies.

Why my background matters

Why my background matters

Bringing trade experience directly to you.

For years, I worked on the side of the industry supplying jewellery businesses themselves. Today, I use that same experience when working with my private clients.

Understanding how diamonds, gemstones and finished jewellery are bought and sold within the trade means I can look beyond the headline specifications and focus on where your money is best spent.

Sometimes that means achieving a higher-quality stone within the same budget. Sometimes it means choosing specifications that offer better value without paying for differences you'll never appreciate with the naked eye. And sometimes it simply means creating a better overall piece for the money.

It's not about finding the cheapest option. It's about understanding value and making sure your budget is working as hard as possible for you.

Staying connected to the industry

Although LA The Jeweller focuses on private clients, I remain actively involved within the wholesale jewellery industry.

I continue to:
- Work from my Hatton Garden office.
- Source diamonds and coloured gemstones.
- Visit UK and international trade exhibitions.
- Build relationships with new suppliers and manufacturers.
- Supply selected trade customers where appropriate.

Remaining connected to the trade ensures my knowledge stays current and my clients continue to benefit from the latest products, suppliers and opportunities available within the industry.

Behind every piece

Behind every piece

More goes into every piece than people realise.

Before a finished piece reaches your hand, there's often hours spent sourcing diamonds, comparing gemstones, refining CAD designs, speaking with manufacturers and checking every detail.

It's the work behind the scenes that makes the biggest difference.

Whether I'm selecting the perfect diamond, comparing gemstone layouts or reviewing the final polish before collection, every decision is made with one goal in mind, creating jewellery that you'll be proud to wear for years to come.

Every decision I make is guided by a few simple principles:
- Honest advice, always.
- Quality before compromise.
- Jewellery designed around the client.
- Long-term relationships over one-off sales.
- Personal service from start to finish.

I don't believe buying jewellery should feel intimidating or transactional. It should feel exciting, enjoyable and completely personal.
